Fall Festival

Today was Fall Festival at ICS. Fall Festival is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year. There are games, food, raffles, and music. In the past, it has just been during one afternoon. This year, it lasted all day. I had a lot of fun, but it was so tiring. Different teachers and some high school students led the games. My class tried to do three, but gave up doing water balloons when the kids realized that they really couldn't fill them up. We had a fun time leading a guessing jar game and fishing pond though. I loved the guessing jar because it required no supervision all day, which was nice. Most of my students came, had fun playing, and loved helping lead our game. Overall, it was a success! Here are some pictures from the day.

Our Fishing Pond - View of Both Sides

This is the front of my school. My class's Fishing Pond game is actually set up right outside our classroom. The window to the right of our game is my window, and the door by the bulletin board is the entrance to my classroom.

Our other game: A Guessing Jar. How many Bin-Bins (similar to jelly beans) are there?

Angry Birds Slingshot: Can you hit an angry bird?
I couldn't, but I almost hit someone else who was really far away.

This area belongs to the school next to us, who graciously allowed us to use it for the food, music, and raffle area.

This monster will polish any rock you put in his mouth.

Ring Toss: You could win a pop!

Shoot the nerf darts into the monster's mouths.

As one of the only games that reopened in the afternoon, we quickly became popular.

and the actual amount being 467

Announcing the raffles

I realized I didn't take a picture of myself all day,
so I finally took one with one of my roommates as we listened to who won.
