Open House

     This summer was full of trips, spending time with family and friends, projects, and running errands. It was a blessed time away from my typical school schedule but full of its own busyness. During my first full weekend of summer vacation, I took a trip out to Indiana to visit friends and was blessed with the opportunity to speak at Upland Community Church. It was encouraging to speak with fellow believers who were interested in my ministry at ICS Caracas. The next weekend, people came to my parents' house for an Open House, where I attempted to make some common Venezuelan foods such as arepas and cachapas. I loved being able to share in person about my first year in Caracas and how thrilled I was to go back. If you were there for either of these, thank you. Your support and encouragement goes a long ways and keeps me going on hard days. 

      God allowed me to also be refreshed by spending time with family and friends. I enjoyed having many lunch dates, going mini golfing with my grandma and little cousin, seeing movies with friends, and spending two weeks alone with my parents. I arrived safely back in Caracas on July 25. Thank you for your prayers. The next two weeks are very busy with teacher orientation and preparing for our new school year.
