Even I wore pajamas to school, which one of my students took a picture of as I was setting up our tent!

One of my roommates graciously agreed to let me borrow her tent so that my students could enjoyed reading inside of it. With the help of my students and directions, we had it up in no time.
How many fourth and fifth graders does it take to set up a tent?
Answer: As many as there are because they all want to help. Plus, the tent was huge!
We did it! Time for the fun to begin!
Most of the day was spent reading in some form.
We even invited some of our little buddies to come read in our tent!
It was also Valentine's Day, so towards the end of our half day, we passed out valentines and started a related art project.
After everyone was packed up and ready to go home, we all gathered in our tent for one last story: Just a Dream by Chris Van Allsburg.
Some kids hid from the camera that was trying to get a picture of all of us.
Gifts from my kids. They're so sweet!
Prayer Requests and Praises
-Snuggle Up and Read Day went really well! It was the first fun day that I had planned that didn't end up with some kind of drama.
-Pray for the NICS Job Fair that is today. Our school has open positions for next year as does many other NICS schools. It was one year ago that I was there and heard about ICS.
-One of our staff members with a child in my class is finally moving this weekend. Praise God that their new house is almost ready, and pray for the transition.
-Pray for the country of Venezuela. It is going through a rough time right now. This week there have been a lot of protests and marches, but news about it is skewed and censored.
-Continued prayer for health. One student was sick this week. Many other students and staff members have family members who are having surgery recently, including my dad.
-Pray for continued strength and encouragement.
-Pray for students to think about their actions, choices, and faith in God.
