September Already?

I can't believe that it's already September. Time is just flying by.  This week was another full and busy week at school (we don't have Labor Day off like those in the states do). After school, I have started tutoring a few of my students, going to Zumba with other teachers on Mondays, and spending a bit of time each night relaxing at home. Otherwise, not much else is new. Today I am going with some friends to see another market and buy some more food. It would be great if we could find chicken, baking powder, sugar, and milk this weekend.

I thought I would share some more pictures of my class.  My class is so photogenic that we were chosen to be the class that would have pictures taken to go with a magazine article about our school. It also helps that they are diverse and old enough to behave but still look cute. We spent an hour two weeks ago having their pictures taken around the school. Last week, I was finally able to be in a few whole class pictures when a parent took some and kindly sent them to me.

On Fridays, we meet with out little buddies and do different activities with them. My fifth graders are paired with second graders. This week, they wrote secret messages or pictures in white crayon and decoded their buddy's picture by water coloring over it. They had a lot of fun, and some of them wrote very encouraging notes to their buddy.

Prayer Requests and Praises
-I am beginning to get over my cold and feel better!
-Last weekend was so relaxing and exactly what I needed!
-The Lord provided strength for me to make it through every day this week and not feel so drained by the end of the day!
-I had a few people give more than once so far, which was a huge answer to prayer!
-Wisdom for what to do for my spring visa trip (if you want to meet me anywhere for four days, I'd love to see you)
-Students' spiritual growth
-Courage for the students to tell me when they don't understand something
-Continued improving health for all of the students and staff
-Continued strength to make it through the day
