This weekend was a much needed, relaxing break. I spent Friday afternoon and Sunday afternoon busy working and planning. I am very grateful to a friend who came to help me however I needed her. I set her to work hanging things in my classroom, finding resources for our upcoming science unit, and grading. We accomplished so much! On Saturday, I went to a beach in Venezuela with some people from school. After a four hour bus ride, we arrived in Morrocoy and took a boat out to an island. It was very relaxing to be able to get away from the city, enjoy some fresh air, and not worry about school work. Sometimes the best thing I can do to continue being a good teacher is to take a break.
