I am full of praises today! Yesterday, I found out that I was approved for a work visa! Now, I just need to pick it up when I am in the States during December. You can continue praying for my teammates' visas to continue through the process as we begin seeing some come through. Also, I have officially bought my tickets for my spring visa trip and to go home this summer (which actually costs me less than staying here). While I do not need the spring visa trip anymore, I am still grateful for it. My roommates do not have visas yet and would be leaving anyways (so I would be lonely); plus, something could still go wrong with picking up my visa so it's good to have a back-up. It will also be a much needed break from school and Venezuela.
School has been going well. My students are learning how to handle conflicts, even if it takes all afternoon to talk it out. I was able to go to school last weekend and get a lot of work done to help my classroom run more smoothly, which was a blessing. Last week, the second student in my class this year had their backpack and belongings stolen from their car. I thank God that neither student was in their car when this happened. MAP testing (standardized tests) are done for the fall, and my students all did their best. Tomorrow are parent-teacher conferences, so please be praying that those go well. Continued prayer for staying on top of my work and for my students is always needed.
"Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever." 1 Chronicles 16:34
