Saying Goodbye

Saying goodbye is hard. It's full of bittersweet moments and mixed emotions. For those of you who don't know (sorry that it took me so long to write about it), I am not returning to ICS Caracas next year. I'm looking for a lower elementary teaching job in the United States (mainly Indiana), and you can be praying for me as I interview and that God would give me wisdom in accepting any potential offers. In less than a week, I fly back to the United States. I will probably never see most of my friends, students, and coworkers from here again. Goodbyes are wonderful, awkward, and bittersweet times.

Yesterday was our last day of school. My fifth graders graduated elementary school and are off to middle school. I am so proud of them and the hard work that they have accomplished in my class. I have seen so much growth in each child, which includes behavioral and spiritual growth. My greatest prayer for them is that each child continues to seek the Lord and follow Him.
