Praises and Prayer Requests

It's been a while since I've written praises and prayer requests, so I have quite a few! Please be praying for my school and the ministry we have.

Praises

• Our staff retreat was a blessing as we all learned about living in community.
• Fall Festival, our annual fundraiser, was a success! We raised money, had fun, and connected with families.
• Network November, which I led for our school, was successful. We enjoyed learning about other NICS schools in the Americas. Check out the blog we wrote. 
• My trip to Angel Falls during Thanksgiving was a wonderful break full of much needed rejuvenation. 
• The visit from our accreditation leader in December went well (except for some airplane issues).
• I finished writing all of my units for accreditation, which was a huge relief to have done.
• Christmas was wonderful, and I was able to see many family and friends.
• My students have been reading and telling me things from the devotional that I gave them for Christmas.
• I am meeting with a group of girls to read the devotional on Tuesdays during lunch. The girls love having this time and have been thinking a lot about their faith in God.
• My students have all had really good attendance. I am thankful that they are coming to school and enjoying it.
• After being sick all of January, I am finally beginning to feel better.
• I am seeing some students learning to push forward and work hard, even when things are difficult for them.

Prayer Requests

• Continued improvement in health for staff, students, and me.
• This week one of the students was in a bad car accident. Pray for a quick recovery.
• Continued value, interest, and good discussion in the Tuesday girls devotional lunch.
• Puppet theater club - I am leading this club on Fridays, and we are working to be able to present in chapel at the beginning of March.
• Rest and restoration for staff.
• In March, the accreditation team is coming to visit us and will be deciding if our accreditation is renewed. Pray that their flights are timely and go smoothly. Pray that they would enjoy their visit here. Pray that our school would shine in our strong areas.
• In February, our director will be leaving for a director's conference and job fair in the states. Please pray for his safety and the job fair.
• Staffing needs for next year - our school has many open positions.
• Behavior and friendship issues in my classroom
• Continuing to find food - the shortages are becoming very difficult
